The palette was very simple with the goal of bridging standard residential details with a touch of minimal modernity. White oak flooring with Chantilly Lace white walls wrap the interior of the home, speckled with matte black hardware.
Two main design features were included in the home. The first was a heavy consideration for the home's pet turtles. Each over 20 years in age, three turtles make their homes in three separate three-foot length tanks. The tanks sit as a divider between the open kitchen to a more private sunken family room where diffused north light can brighten both spaces.
The second feature was a 'circulation' corridor. A second-floor bridge is flanked by two spaces - one being the stairwell and the other being a double-height space overlooking a grand piano nook.
