I start with one unit of built space the idea to take place. What if, wherever you are, let’s say you enter this unit of built space, you have access to a whole new layer of information and media. It is not quite physical space and it is not quite virtual space. It is both in my mind – that’s what makes AR so interesting. I think it would be a neat experience, at the scale of a pedestrian, to interact with your surroundings while having access to a database of information about all the things that are constructed around you.
AR/TIFACT Lab
Ongoing project that starts with illustrative 'tests' of built spaces progressing in parallel with research and development of AR tech. The project seeks to bring the functionality of the AR overlay with architecture, introducing behind-the-facade details and data of buildings across the city.
